My first writer's meetup
Was more of a lecture than anything from a Hollywood script guru that made me miss Blake Snyder. I'll probably get this fellow's (www.storymastery.com/) books. He talked for almost two hours about the 10 elements a story needs. I got validation for stuff I already knew and some new information and insight. The group is having a contest to have a story put in their anthology so I'll more than likely be working on that next. It was a good deal, I'm glad I went, odds are I'll attend their monthly meetings on the regular.

1. We raised a total of about $125 for the llama (my folks threw in the last $25), which has been purchased and will be sent to a family in need of one. Thanks you guys, mission accomplished. :-)
2. I have received no stories for the contest, which was not totally unexpected (Nano and holidays). So be it. The llama still happened.

up to 119.00 for llama fund
only about $30 to go before we hit the cost for the llama. that's only 10 more copies. this should be easy as pie. or cake... i know the lit community still likes that debate ;-)
